Secondary holds up well without Devin McCourty

FOXBORO - The secondary has and will face tougher tests than what it did today against the Titans in the 33-16 win at Gillette Stadium.

That said, to play as well as it did without safety Devin McCourty is impressive nonetheless, as it's not often that the Pats have to stop opposing offenses without his services. In fact, since entering the league in 2011, McCourty, out with an ankle injury, has missed just four of a possible 78 regular season games.

But even though the Pats were not going up against world-beaters in quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and Zach Mettenberger, they did what they were supposed to and allowed just 223 passing yards, including 28 in the first half.
