We wouldn't blame Sean McVay if he wanted nothing to do with Boston-area sports teams in the wake of Super Bowl LIII. But after Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots humbled his Los Angeles Rams 13-3, the young head coach apparently turned to another member of the Boston coaching fraternity for advice.
In a feature story on McVay published Tuesday, ESPN's Seth Wickersham revealed that the Rams coach reached out to Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr and then-Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens following that Super Bowl LIII loss with the goal of "learning a way forward.
