FOXBORO, Mass. — The boo birds came out midway through the third quarter at Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
New England Patriots fans in attendance for the Week 11 contest against the Los Angeles Rams did not agree with Jerod Mayo’s fourth-down decision with 7:02 left in the third quarter. Facing a fourth-and-goal from the Los Angeles 2-yard line, Mayo and his staff took New England’s offense off the field and opted for a chip shot field goal while trailing 21-10.
Patriots radio broadcaster Scott Zolak agreed with those in attendance, and believed New England should have went for it on fourth down rather than kick.
