NFL free agency's window opened on Monday and the New England Patriots opened their bank account for some huge spending and signings.
The quarterback market took a couple of turns with the Seattle Seahawks signing Sam Darnold to a three-year $110.5 million contract, and the New York Jets plucking Justin Fields for two years at a total of $40 million.
In a minor quarterback deal, Jimmy Garoppolo re-signed with the Rams to back up Matthew Stafford.
