Sam Darnold, Justin Fields and other big moves in free agency

NFL free agency's window opened on Monday and the New England Patriots opened their bank account for some huge spending and signings.

The quarterback market took a couple of turns with the Seattle Seahawks signing Sam Darnold to a three-year $110.5 million contract, and the New York Jets plucking Justin Fields for two years at a total of $40 million.

In a minor quarterback deal, Jimmy Garoppolo re-signed with the Rams to back up Matthew Stafford.

A look at some of the bigger names to come off the board in the first day of negotiations:

Milton Williams, star defensive lineman, leaves the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles for the Patriots.
