Bang. The New Orleans Saints have added their first new face of the 2025 offseason by agreeing to a trade with the New England Patriots -- swapping a 2026 seventh round pick, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, for New England Patriots defensive tackle Davon Godchaux. The trade is agreed to but cannot be consummated until the start of the new league year on Wednesday, March 12 at 3 p.m. CT/4 p.m. ET.
It's a homecoming for Godchaux. He's from Plaquemine, La. and played college football at LSU. Godchaux is widely regarded as one of the best run-stopping nose tackles in the game, and he's an ideal fit for the odd-front system Brandon Staley is installing in New Orleans.
