FOXBORO — The Patriots’ string of misfortune along the offensive line continued yesterday.
Ryan Wendell’s tumultuous season came to a premature conclusion as he joined left tackle Nate Solder as offensive line captains on the injured reserve list. The free agent-to-be suffered a knee ailment that first appeared on Wednesday’s injury report. He was limited all week in practice and had been listed as doubtful for today’s game against the Redskins.
On a more positive note, the Patriots replaced Wendell on the roster with Bryan Stork, who was activated from short-term injured reserve.
