Former Rutgers star and current New England Patriots safety Devin McCourty has a message for the NFL: give Colin Kaepernick a chance.
Kaepernick hasn’t played in the NFL since 2016, when he began kneeling during the national anthem as a form of social protest.
Wednesday on ESPN’s “First Take,” McCourty said it’s time for the NFL to welcome back the 32-year-old quarterback. Per WEEI:
“I think, first and foremost, they need to have a sit-down. They need to bring him in there. They need to tell him, face-to-face, everything that they’ve said vocally, that they’ve said publicly.
