FOXBOROUGH — After stretching ended to start Patriots practice on Thursday afternoon, the defense jogged to one end of the field to work on scramble drills.
Practice squad quarterback Jake Dolegala joined them, but he wasn’t the only one to go under center. Undrafted cornerback Myles Bryant — who was just promoted to the active roster — played quarterback, too. At 5-foot-9, Bryant offers a good comparable to the shifty Russell Wilson, so the Patriots let him loose.
All of the Patriots were present and accounted for.
Earlier in the day Thursday, Belichick gushed about what a challenge Wilson is to defend.
