Terrell Jennings and Tucker Addington reverted to the New England Patriots’ practice squad on Monday afternoon.
Due to absences at running back and long snapper, both served as standard elevations for what became a 41-21 loss to the Houston Texans at Gillette Stadium.
Jennings, 24, saw 14 offensive snaps in his NFL debut and rushed for 13 yards on a handful of carries. The undrafted Florida A&M product also handled 21 percent of the workload on special teams for a backfield depth chart featuring veterans Antonio Gibson and JaMycal Hasty. A rookie minicamp tryout in May, Jennings signed to the practice squad at its formation after being waived at the league’s 53-man roster deadline.
