FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – There is always a certain level of excitement and intrigue with spring camps when it comes to rookies.
How will they fit in? What type of impact might they make on the season? Are they keeping up mentally?
On the third and final day of the Patriots’ mandatory minicamp, two members of the team’s draft class – fourth-round receiver Malcolm Mitchell (Georgia) and linebacker/safety hybrid Kamu Grugier-Hill (Eastern Illinois) – flashed with notable plays.
Mitchell’s was a one-handed leaping grab in the left-hand corner of the end zone on a pass from fellow rookie Jacoby Brissett in 11-on-11 drills.
