Ja’Lynn Polk’s rookie debut did not light up the stat sheet. The New England Patriots second-round pick saw just one target which he hauled in for six yards.
But beyond the production, Polk’s Week 1 outing was more promising than originally thought. The rookie consistently got open throughout the day but the ball went elsewhere — mostly due to the receiver being late in Jacoby Brissett’s progressions.
The box score (1 target, 1 catch, 6 yards) definitely didn't do Ja'Lynn Polk's rookie debut justice. Several times he was open downfield but the ball went elsewhere.
