During a Friday morning appearance on ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike program, ESPN NFL analyst Ron Jaworski shared his impressions of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s performance in the New England Patriots' preseason opener against the New Orleans Saints.
“When you watch the Patriots’ offense, it just looks so different without Tom Brady. I thought Jimmy Garoppolo really did a good job last night, but the one thing that you see is that he has a tendency to hold on to the ball,” Jaworski said.
“When you compare that to Tom Brady, who at the top of the drop has processed all that information pre-snap and then the ball was coming out, Jimmy clearly is not at that level and very few quarterbacks will ever get to the Tom Brady level.
