Roger Goodell: Tom Brady Deflategate ruling could come next week

The end is in sight for the Tom Brady appeal.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told CNBC today that his ruling on Brady's appeal of his 4-game punishment could come as soon as next week.

Goodell spoke to CNBC at an annual conference for business moguls in Sun Valley, Idaho.

Goodell and Patriots owner Robert Kraft were photographed together at the conference on Wednesday, as the tweet below shows. Goodell told CNBC he and Kraft were not discussing Deflategate.

Goodell met with Brady on June 23 to hear his appeal of the four-game ban. He could lower the ban, and Brady could still appeal to federal court if he is not satisfied with Goodell's decision.
