FOXBORO - Patriots owner Robert Kraft spoke briefly to the media following the Myra Kraft Community MVP Awards Tuesday at the Putnam Club at Gillette Stadium. The event honored volunteers throughout New England with prizes for 26 different non-profit organizations.
Kraft addressed the Monday release of linebacker Brandon Spikes, whose car was found abandoned on I-495 on Sunday in what is being investigated as a possible hit-and-run.
After being directly questioned about why the team released Spikes, Kraft said that he was there to honor his late wife and the volunteers.
