Rob Gronkowski goes to locker room after hit to head

FOXBORO — The Patriots have pulled to within 14-10 of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game, but it has come at a price.

On their scoring drive just before halftime, Rob Gronkowski went up the right seam and was targeted for a pass by quarterback Tom Brady. But as the ball arrived, Jaguars safety Barry Church lowered a helmet-to-helmet hit on Gronkowski that drew a 15-yard unnecessary roughness call.

Gronkowski, who took the shot to the left side of his helmet, was dazed by the hit and came off the field. He went into the blue medical tent then came off the field and went to the locker room for what is sure to be testing for a possible concussion.
