Los Angeles (AFP) - New England Patriots star Tom Brady says revenge will be the last thing on his mind when he strides out at the home of the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday for the first time in his career, 16 years after famously being snubbed by the team he supported as a boy.
The 39-year-old grew up in California dreaming of one day following in the footsteps of legendary 49ers quarterbacks such as Joe Montana and Steve Young.
But Brady's hopes of forging a career with his hometown team ended in 2000, when the 49ers passed up the chance to sign the rookie after inviting him to work out with the club.
