Veteran wide receiver Reggie Wayne and running back Jonas Gray will not be on the Patriots' final 53-man roster, according to reports by ESPN.
Wayne reportedly asked for his release after signing with the Patriots on Aug. 24 The Pats gave the 14-year veteran and former Indianapolis Colts star a $450,000 signing bonus.
ESPN also reported that Jonas Gray was released today. There were earlier reports that the Patriots were trying to trade the former Notre Dame running back. Gray made a big splash last season with the Pats when he rushed for 199 yards against the Colts.
