Reports: Patriots agree to deal with RB Donald Brown

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- After showing "minor interest" in unrestricted free agent Matt Forte and bringing restricted free agent Benny Cunningham (Rams) in for a visit but not executing an offer sheet, the New England Patriots have turned their attention elsewhere at running back.

According to Peter Schrager of FoxSports, the club and free agent Donald Brown have agreed to terms. NFL Network reports it's a one-year deal.

The 5-foot-10, 207-pound Brown, who played at the University of Connecticut, entered the NFL as a first-round draft choice (27th overall) of the Indianapolis Colts in 2009.
