Report: Patriots Sign Dane Fletcher

According to NFL Network, the New England Patriots will re-sign veteran linebacker Dane Fletcher sometime later today. Fletcher was at the Pats’ organized team activities on Tuesday and it is expected that he will sign a one year deal with the team.

Fletcher began his career with the Patriots in 2010 mainly playing on New England’s special teams units. After the 2013 season, Fletcher left Foxborough to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in hopes of becoming a key contributor on the defensive side of the ball. During his brief stint with the Bucs, Fletcher played in sixteen games, had thirty-nine combined tackles, and half a sack.
