Patriots director of pro personnel Patrick Stewart is leaving to become the general manager of Nebraska football, according to ESPN.
Stewart began his NFL career in 2007 with the Patriots as a scouting assistant and spent a decade in New England’s scouting department.
He joined the Eagles as a national scout in 2018 and later worked for the Panthers as director of player personnel and eventually vice president of player personnel before returning to the Patriots as a senior personnel adviser.
Stewart will run the personnel department for Nebraska football. Nebraska finished 7-6 after beating Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl last year.
