Report: Patriots bring in college QB-turned-CFL CB for workout

The New England Patriots have already begun evaluating players for the 2020 season.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the Patriots hosted former Indiana and Illinois State quarterback Tre Roberson for a workout on Wednesday. The 27-year-old currently plays in the Canadian Football League as a cornerback.

The Patriots had Canadian Football League CB Tre Roberson (Calgary) in for a free-agent workout.

Roberson, who played quarterback in college at Illinois State, initially had signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2016. He's been with Calgary the last 2 seasons.
