According to Pro Football Talk, the New England Patriots will extend linebacker Dont’a Hightower for one more season. Hightower’s contract would end after the 2015 season, but with the Pats picking up his option, he will be here into 2016.
Also on the fifth-year option front, the Patriots will extend LB Dont’a Hightower for another season, per source.

This is obviously a good move for the Pats, as Hightower is arguably a top three inside linebacker in the NFL, and he will only get better from here on out.
