Massachusetts Rep. Joe Kennedy III encouraged the NFL to apologize to Colin Kaepernick in a Twitter message Tuesday. He also wrote that he wants the New England Patriots to sign the QB.
Kaepernick, the first NFL player to kneel in protest of police brutality, has not played in the NFL since 2016, the year he took a knee.
Patriots star Stephon Gilmore and other NFL players made a video last Thursday, asking the NFL to admit it was wrong for not letting players take part in peaceful national anthem protests. Commissioner Roger Goodell agreed the NFL was wrong in his own video Friday.
