Welcome to another edition of Musket Fire’s Remembering the Patriot series in which the writer draws a random 21st century New England Patriots player from memory and remembers his contributions to the franchise. This morning, we’re taking a look back at the career of former Patriots tight end Jermaine Wiggins.
Wiggins joined the Patriots midway through the 2000 season, hopping over after a stint with the New York Jets. In the remainder of 2000, Wiggins caught 16 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown.
Again, Wiggins was pretty quiet in the 2001 regular season in terms of total receptions (14) but he made them count, reaching the end zone four times on those catches.
