FOXBORO - It came as a shock to some that longtime Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne signed with the rival Patriots, but Wayne was blunt in what went into his decision to go to the defending Super Bowl champions.
"I want to win, point blank," Wayne said Tuesday.
It's not secret that coach Bill Belichick has long admired Wayne's game, and the receiver said that feeling is mutual.
"Respect, you've got to respect what he's done in this league over the years," Wayne said. "Even though I was on the opposite side, you see that from afar, and that's what you want.
