FOXBORO — Wide receiver Reggie Wayne already has a Super Bowl ring and a Hall of Fame resume, and he maintained yesterday there’s nothing left for him to prove.
So why did he take a one-year deal from the Patriots after a 14-year career with the Indianapolis Colts?
“I want to win, point blank,” Wayne said yesterday at Gillette Stadium.
Wayne’s been cramming like never before. Rather than taking a ceremonial tour through the facility to meet as many new teammates as possible, the 36-year-old buried himself in the playbook. Wayne wanted to ensure Tom Brady knew he was serious about his implementation.
