An excerpt from the note Aaron Hernandez wrote to his fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez, prior to his suicide in prison last month was released Friday as part of a court filing by prosecutors.
In the note, which was addressed to “Shay,” the former Patriots tight end professes his love for his fiancee and suggests that his fate was the plan of a higher power.
Hernandez was found hanging in his cell at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley on April 19.
