Amid speculation about his future, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is taking a business-as-usual approach to entering the offseason. Tying up some loose contractual ends is part of this process, and the first move in that regard has been made.
The Patriots have signed practice squad wide receiver T.J. Luther to a reserve/futures contract, as first reported by Aaron Wilson of KPCR 2 Houston.
An undrafted rookie who split his six-year college career between Wofford and Gardner-Webb, Luther started his career with the New York Jets. He spent all of training camp and preseason with the team, playing a combined 76 offensive and special teams snaps over three exhibition contests without registering any statistics.
