INDIANAPOLIS – New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis, who went through a pre-game test for his injured abdomen, is active for Sunday night’s game against the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The 5-foot-8, 195-pound Lewis is the Patriots’ leading rusher through four games, with 36 carries for 180 yards and two touchdowns. He is also second in pass receptions, with 23, totaling 238 yards and one receiving touchdown.
Lewis landed on the injury report Thursday and was limited in practice that day as well as Friday. He has always planned to play against the Colts, with his pre-game test part of the standard routine for players on the injury report.
