FOXBORO — Yesterday was supposed to be a chance for all eyes to focus on the career of cornerback Raymond Clayborn and what he meant to the Patriots during his 13 years here.
When it came time to bask in that glow while taking his place in the Patriots Hall of Fame, Clayborn chose to point out and reflect on the people he played with, asking former teammates in the crowd to stand and be recognized. Then he listed off the names of 11 teammates who have died, saving his friend and fan-favorite Mosi Tatupu for last, and asked for a moment of silence in their memory.
