MINNEAPOLIS -- It was about as automatic as a touchdown against one-on-one coverage when he was dominating the league from his wide receiver position.
To little surprise, Randy Moss earned a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility after voting on Saturday a day prior to the Super Bowl.
Fellow wide receiver Terrell Owens, linebackers Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher and safety Brian Dawkins will also be inducted.
Ty Law, the only other former Patriot who was a finalist, did not make the cut.
Moss played with the Patriots from 2007-2010, but his first season in Foxboro was his best and one of the greatest of all-time for any player at his position.
