Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones was in jail on Friday in Las Vegas, where the NFL team said it hoped the troubled defender receives "the care that he needs."
Online jail records for Nevada's Clark County Detention Center showed Jones had been held on $15,000 bail, with TMZ reporting he had violated a domestic violence protective order.
The 33-year-old has not played this season and hadn't been with the team since early September, when he took aim at the Raiders in social media posts criticizing owner Mark Davis, general manager Dave Ziegler and coach Josh McDaniels.
Placed on the non-football illness list on September 20, Jones said in a post on Monday that he was taken to hospital "against my will" by the Las Vegas Fire Department.
