‘Pretty clear’ Christian Barmore got held on game-deciding 2-point play, says Jerod Mayo

The New England Patriots lost their Week 13 game against the Indianapolis Colts in heartbreaking fashion, giving up a two-point conversion attempt in the final seconds to fall with a final score of 25-24. The ending was also a controversial one.

The Colts should have been flagged for a penalty on their final play, according to Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo. Defensive tackle Christian Barmore was effectively taken out of the equation by a hold, allowing Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson to rumble into the end zone for the decisive score.

“They didn’t call it,” said Mayo during a media conference call on Monday.
