DK Metcalf will not be catching passes in Foxboro next year. Despite showing interest in the Seattle Seahawks wide receiver even before his trade request, the New England Patriots did not end up as his landing spot.
Instead, Metcalf is headed to the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to multiple reports, the Steelers are sending a second-round pick to Seattle for his services, and also signing him to a massive five-year, $150 million contract extension.
Metcalf, 27, originally joined the NFL as a second-round draft pick in 2019 — one of the players famously coming off the board after the Patriots picked eventual first-round bust N’Keal Harry 32nd overall.
