In a national poll conducted by ABC News and ESPN, America backed the NFL's discipline of the Patriots and Tom Brady in Deflategate scandal. However, the fans also overwhelmingly believe that the Pats are not alone, and that many teams in the NFL are trying to get an edge.
The networks surveyed 504 Americans and asked them whether they'd described themselves as "avid fans" to gather two sets of data.
The poll found that 63 percent of all respondents supported the NFL's decision to slam the Patriots with sanctions. (The team was fined $1 million, forfeited a first- and fourth-round draft pick, and Brady was issued a four-game suspension for his role in the scandal.
