Authorities detained and turned away New England Patriots safety Duron Harmon from entry into Costa Rica for marijuana possession on Friday, local police told the Costa Rica Star.
A routine luggage check uncovered 58 grams of marijuana hidden in an iced tea can, a THC edible, three pipes with cannabis oil and 4.3 grams of compressed marijuana, authorities said.
“This involved a professional NFL player, who tried to come into the country carrying marijuana,” director of Fiscal Control Police Irving Malespín told the Star. “We has sent back to U.S. territory. It is important to highlight the work of different police bodies, who carry out important operations in different areas of the country.
