Former Notre Dame safety Jalen Elliott has been searching for a permanent NFL home since his collegiate career ended. Undrafted in 2020, he mainly has bounced around one practice squad after another during that time. Maybe he's found what he's looking for this time.
Elliott has signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose practice squad he was part of a year ago. He also has been on the squads for the Detroit Lions, New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders.
He actually suited up in eight games for the Lions in 2021 and earned a start, registering 12 tackles during what's been his only true NFL season so far.
