FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Newly-acquired wide receiver Phillip Dorsett has a special trait that can’t be taught: Speed.
Fittingly, how fast he immerses himself into the New England Patriots’ offensive system will determine when, if at all, he makes an on-field impact for the team. With 4.3-second speed in the 40-yard dash, he’s not used to being in a trail position.
“It’s a lot. They went through OTAs, they went through training camp, and I’m just getting here before the first game. Those guys had a head start and I’m on the back end,” Dorsett said Tuesday in his first interview with New England reporters since the trade.
