New England Patriots safety Nate Ebner is making his return to rugby in Hong Kong next week, ESPN rugby editor Tom Hamilton reports.
It will be Ebner's first competitive rugby action since 2012, when he was drafted by the Patriots in the sixth round out of Ohio State. Before that, he featured for the USA Sevens side and played XV rugby in international age-grade tournaments.
Ebner's presence was referred to as "icing on the cake" by Samurai boss Terry Sands, in reference to the 20th anniversary of the competition.
