Regardless of what the future holds for New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, the team as a whole is one in transition — away from the old guard that was still around during the dynasty days, to a new generation. Who will ultimately be the ones carrying the torch in this process has to be determined, although there are some worthy candidates.
What all of them have to learn, however, is winning. That, at least, is what three-time Super Bowl champion and long-time cornerstone Matthew Slater said after what might have been his final NFL game on Sunday.
