Field Yates of ESPN is reporting that Patriots WR Danny Amendola has agreed to a reduced contract in order to remain in New England for the 2017 season.
The expectation has been that Amendola and the Patriots would agree to a restructured deal at some point this offseason, given that the Patriots traded for WR Brandin Cooks a month ago and Amendola was likely to see a reduced role as a result of this move.
Amendola, 31, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech back in 2008.
