New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Javon Baker could get his first taste of regular season action in the NFL on Sunday. The rookie receiver is officially active for the home opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
Coach Jerod Mayo explained that Baker's need to progress and develop was the reason for him being inactive in Week 1. That decision followed Baker's controversial social media post, which Mayo claimed the team had punished him for.
New England could use some explosiveness at the wide receiver position, and coming out of college, Baker was looked at as a potential X option for the team.
