The New England Patriots reached the NFL’s 85-man roster limit on Tuesday by waiving tight end Troy Fumagalli with the injury designation, as first reported by Mike Reiss of ESPN.
Fumagalli, 26, had signed during organized team activities after making previous stops with the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans.
Originally entering the league in the fifth round of the 2018 draft, Fumagalli has appeared in 19 career games with five starts to total 14 receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. The Wisconsin product will revert to New England’s injured reserve if unclaimed.
