The New England Patriots waived wide receiver Cody Hollister with a non-football injury distinction and signed offensive lineman Nate Theaker, per ESPN’s Field Yates.

Hollister spent last season on the practice squad and was a longshot to make the active roster. His twin, Jacob Hollister, is a favorite to make the team as a back-up to Rob Gronkowski at tight end.
