The New England Patriots have extended their NFL-worst losing streak to five games. The latest of those defeats happened on Sunday against the visiting Houston Texans, who marched into Gillette Stadium and eventually left with a 41-21 victory in hand.
The Texans jumped to an early 14-0 lead and never looked back. The Patriots, on the other hand, were unable to string enough positive plays together: first-time starting quarterback Drake Maye and company ended up turning the ball over four times, while also being hit-and-miss on the defensive side of the ball.
As a consequence, the team of first-year head coach Jerod Mayo is now 1-5 on the year.
