There was no one singular issue holding back the New England Patriots offense in 2023, but rather a perfect storm of bad play, uneven development, insufficient coaching, and injury woes contributing to the unit finishing as one of the least productive in the NFL. Sunday’s season finale against the New York Jets was more of the same, with the group scoring only one field goal in a 17-3 loss to its division rivals.
As has been the case for much of the season, the Patriots struggled with consistency both from a performance and a personnel perspective.
