The New England Patriots opened their Week 7 game against the New York Jets in perfect fashion. Receiving the opening kickoff, they drove 65 yards in only four plays to take a 7-0 lead. Following a Damien Harris run as well as two plays featuring tight end Jonnu Smith, the Patriots pulled out the trickery.
Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels called a backwards pass to Kendrick Bourne, who did not try to advance it. Instead, he threw a 25-yard pass to fellow wide receiver Nelson Agholor that was taken into the end zone for a touchdown.
