The battle of struggling teams takes center stage at Gillette Stadium on Sunday with the New England Patriots hosting the visiting Washington Commanders.
On one hand, this matchup could be taken as a sigh of relief because the Commanders have been every bit as flawed as the Patriots this season. But there’s also the fact that Commanders quarterback Sam Howell has flat-out outplayed Patriots quarterback Mac Jones to this point.
Of course, Jones has faced the harder opposition, and we’ll see if he can right his wrongs against a Washington team that no longer has its two fearsome pass-rushers, Montez Sweat and Chase Young.
