The New England Patriots returned to the practice fields without two.
Ty Montgomery and Demario Douglas both were sidelined as Los Angeles Chargers prep got underway on Wednesday. The veteran running back is dealing with an illness, while the rookie wide receiver is in the NFL’s concussion protocol after being clotheslined on an unpenalized punt return last weekend.
Here’s the first injury report ahead of Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium.
