The New England Patriots headed back to the practice fields without two rookie wide receivers.
Demario Douglas remained sidelined from Thursday’s work on the Los Angeles Chargers while in the NFL’s concussion protocol for the second time this fall. Fellow sixth-round pick Kayshon Boutte joined him as absent after beginning the week among the limited due to a shoulder issue as well as an illness.
Veteran offensive lineman Riley Reiff, who has yet to be activated back from injured reserve, also did not participate for New England.
